What do I need preapproval for a self-employed loan?

For a self-employed jumbo loan, here is what you will need to provide:

  • Minimum of 12 months business or personal bank statements
  • Minimum of 1 year of Profit and Loss Statement Balance
  • Minimum of 1 year 1099

How long do I need to be self-employed to qualify for a mortgage?

Most lenders prefer at least two years of self-employment history, but exceptions may be made for borrowers with one year if they have industry experience and strong financials.
